Fawns
Posted on May 31st, 2016
Mother deer are having fawns now.  There was a fawn on Champion Falls this morning, seemingly alone.  TPWD has great information regarding what to do if you see a fawn without its mother.  (http://tpwd.texas.gov/huntwild/wild/rehab/orphan/ ).
Here’s an excerpt:  Abandoned deer fawns: In Texas, it is very common for people to encounter seemingly orphaned or abandoned deer. Mother deer typically leave their fawns bedded down while they are away foraging. If the fawn is not crying, is not covered with fire ants, the eyes are not swollen and there are no visible wounds, do not handle or disturb it. Your presence will only cause unnecessary stress for the fawn.  To contact a licensed wildlife rehabilitator in your area: Go to our new list of volunteer wildlife rehabilitators by county  (http://tpwd.texas.gov/huntwild/wild/rehab/list/)  , Or call your local game warden, or the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department Wildlife Information Line at 1-800-792-1112.

The New Champions Ridge Website
Posted on Jul 31st, 2013
We are pleased to announce the new Champions Ridge website! We are excited to provide this valuable communication tool to all the residents of Champions Ridge.

The website centralizes documentation and communication for residents.  Inclusive to the neighborhood documents, and board and committee information, the website accommodates for the communication tools that many of you have become accustomed to using.    For example, there is a classifieds section, lost & found, ability to share recipes, teen services, as well as dedicated sections for ladies night out and current events.

Effective August 1st, 2013, the board began to use this website as our official avenue for communicating to Champions Ridge.  The website has broadcast email capability and will use that capability for communication.
